A&B‘s engineering department is well versed in both 2D and 3D CAD systems. We use SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Inventor for our internal design work but can accommodate virtually any drawing types available to us. We can engage a project at the design phase and handle the CAD work from the beginning or we can work to your provided drawings and specifications. Where appropriate, our expert engineers will work with your team to improve design and manufacturability.
Going beyond basic CAD, A&B utilizes CAM software to automatically create tool paths and G-code directly from our CAD systems. This code is then managed in a database (Cimco Software‘s NC-Base) which serves the dual purpose of tracking and releasing revisions and delivering the code to our shop floor controllers. Our mills and lathes are connected to our network through Cimco‘s DNC-Max software. This technology allows us to manage drip-feed operations for long, complex jobs and provides a supervisory view into the operation of each machine.
Through the proper use of technology, A&B is advancing our status as a leader in quality, cost effectiveness and on-time delivery.
